In short
Let's go deeper
The new MacBook Air with M2 chip is now available for order on Amazon, with first units shipped to customers from Friday, July 15.

Features and new design
The new MacBook Air M2 presents the most significant design change in the MacBook Air line in the last 10 years, with a uniformly flat chassis, larger display and - finally - thinner screen frames.
Like the MacBook Pro From 14” and 16” in 2021, the front camera is now housed inside an - iconic but vomiting - notch on the display.
The Apple Silicon M2 chip improves CPU and GPU performance, making the new MacBook Air M2 about 20% more performing than the already fast MacBook Air M1.
The redesigned chassis, of course, is inspired by the design of MacBook Pro 2021, with a square appearance with rounded edges, leaving behind the classic cone design of MacBook Air and measuring just 11.3 millimeters.
The New MacBook Air is available in a choice of four finishes:
- Silver
- Space Gray
- Galaxy
- Midnight
Magsafe and USB-C charging
After years of absence, finally, MagSafe is back as a charging option default and every MacBook Air M2 is equipped with a MagSafe 3 cable that matches the chassis finish.
Can I charge the Macbook Air M2 with a USB-C cable?
Yes, you can still recharge the MacBook Air M2 through the USB-C ports if you prefer it over charging with Magsafe.
Speaking of charging options, Apple also sells new charging adapters dual port USB-C power supply.
