iPhone and Apple Watch for studying: the best features

In short

Let's go deeper

Relaxed article today.

Let's face it, the use of technology has completely revolutionized the concept of education.

If ten years ago I told you that you would check your e-mail from your watch or ask on the phone who was the first president of America, would you have believed it?

Let's analyze together the most useful functions, of iPhone and Apple Watch, for studying at university.

Siri

20 years ago there were Tamagotchi and now there's Siri, our trusty daily companion for managing multitasking, both on iPhone and Apple Watch.

Whenever my hands aren't free, I can simply say “Hey Siri” to easily set reminders, check back on what's on my calendar for the day, and to search for something through Safari.

Siri reach its maximum potential with AirPods which, in combination with iPhone and Apple Watch, allow perfect voice control of Siri.

Focus Mode

Between a low level of attention and addiction to social networks, we young people now tend to distract ourselves with disarming ease.

Here the Focus Mode comes into play, perfect mode, for example. during the exam period to achieve the highest level of concentration.

The peculiarity is that, thanks to the ecosystem, Once set it will work on all Apple devices associated with the same iCloud account.

Basically, it is an enhanced “do not disturb” mode, customizable - for example by setting the reception for notifications only for some specific apps - and programmable on specific days and times.

For example, it is possible to set a “work” mode that is activated only during working hours and that allows you to receive notifications only from the apps useful at that time.

Timer on Apple Watch

I admit, I may have bought Apple Watch (IF in my case) just for the timer.

Retracing the previous paragraph, the timer is very convenient because you can ask Siri directly to set it for you, super fast.

I use it for everything, from the pasta timer to gym breaks between exercises, but the most important thing I've always used it for as a university student is the Pomodoro Technique.

For those who don't know it, the Pomodoro Technique is a study method in which you perform four activities in sprints of 25 minutes each. After the first three 25-minute sprints, there is a five-minute break. Once the fourth sprint is over, you can rest.

Obviously, there are apps related to the Pomodoro Technique, but many require in-app purchases. This makes the Apple Watch timer a great (and free) alternative.

Apple Pay

Praise the person who invented Apple Pay!

Apple Pay is a super fast, and very convenient, tool for paying using your iPhone or Apple Watch. Very often I forget my wallet at home or in the car or, for convenience, I leave as many things as possible at home to travel light, including money and credit cards.

However, thanks to Apple Pay, with a double click on the unlock button, I literally have money on my wrist.

When the Italian state approves the digital documents that can be stored in the Apple Wallet, we will live in a better, more comfortable world.

Conclusions

In short, Apple devices are fantastic and give their best even in boring moments like studying.

And what do you use to study on iPhone and Apple Watch? Let's talk about it in the comments!
