The WWDC 2022 has been officially announced, it will be held on June 6 and the new version of the Apple Watch operating system will be presented - as every year - watchOS 9.

When will watchOS 9 be announced?
WatchOS 9 will be announced on June 6 during the WWDC keynote 2022, in which we will also be able to take a first look at the new versions of iOS 16, iPadOS 16, macOS 9 and tvOS 16.
As per the practice of the last 2 years, the WWDC will be streamed - except for some lucky students and developers who will be able to attend the keynote in person at Apple Park - and then Apple will release the first beta versions for developers and then release a public beta in July and the official version of watchOS 9 between September and October 2022.

Devices supported by watchOS 9
In 2021, with the release of watchOS 8, Apple maintained compatibility with all devices supported by watchOS 7, while limiting many functions.
This year the rumors are clear, Apple could unfortunately Drop support for Apple Watch 3 of 2017.

New features in watchOS 9
Finally a bit of fat.
Although very little is known about the news present in watchOS 9, here are some of the features that we should expect with the next operating system for the Apple Watch according to rumors:
- Atrial fibrillation load detection or ability to monitor how often a user is in a state of atrial fibrillation In a given period
- Una low power mode which would allow, unlike the current version, you can also take advantage of basic apps and functions
- Satellite connectivity for sending short text messages and SOS alerts to emergency services when you are away from cellular connectivity
- New sleep monitoring function
- New features for monitoring women's health and medications within the Health app
- New workouts
- New and renewed dials (finally)

In short, the leaked leaks about the new functions of watchOS 9 are really interesting - especially satellite connectivity and new energy saving mode - and in this WWDC 2022 we will see some really nice ones.
